WHAT DOES A FASHION STYLIST DO?

Fashion styling is rapidly becoming one of the most popular growing careers in the fashion industry. The Stylist is in charge of developing style, which includes picking what a person or model wears and how they wear it and selecting clothing and accessories to complete the overall look.

This person can operate in a variety of fields, varying from general media such as television and fashion magazines to music videos and managing the public appearances of celebrities, models, and other public figures. Usually, Fashion Stylists are part of a larger team assembled by the client, collaborating with the fashion designer, photographer, hairstylist, and make-up artist to realize a particular look or theme for a specific project. They frequently borrow and return clothes and accessories from clothing stores and from fashion designers directly.

Some brands include stylists throughout the entire process, including design meetings from the start of the collection production, in order to gain new ideas, research, and unique clothing to complete the looks. Most of the time, the stylist is brought in toward the end of the process to bring all of the designed clothing together.

STYLING AND DESIGNING: WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

Fashion Designers are responsible for designing and creating outfits whereas fashion stylists put together clothing and prepare the ideal outfits for celebrities or other people. A fashion trend is created by the fashion designers and the fashion stylist studies the trend and dresses his/her clients according to it.
